Teaching - Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to teaching may include but are not limited to: subject matter competence, course design, course presentation, and grading student work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The William States Lee College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for two full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track faculty positions (positions #4548 and #1768) at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor, Teaching Associate Professor, Professor of Practice, or Lecturer, with an anticipated start date of August 2026. We seek outstanding teaching professionals with expertise in engineering, construction, and their integration, particularly in the areas of:
- Capital project lifecycle management (from planning and design through construction and operations)
- Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM)
- Industry best practices and integrated project delivery systems
- Digital transformation in construction, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), data acquisition, analytics, and AI.
Candidates with broad and diverse industry experience across multiple sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.
Minimum Experience/Education
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Necessary Licenses/Certifications
Professional Licensure or Certifications such as P.E., PMP, CCM, CPE, or CPC (or eligibility to obtain within one academic year).
