Dean of Academic Innovation and PartnershipsBrightpoint Community CollegeÂis a two-year public institution of higher education and is one of the largest of Virginia’s 23 community colleges. The college is located within the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. It serves students and the community at its two campuses, in Chester and Midlothian; online; and in locations throughout its service area. Brightpoint Community CollegeÂinvites applications for the position ofÂDean of Academic Innovation and Partnerships. This role provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the College’s digital education ecosystem and external academic pipelines. The Dean is responsible for ensuring the quality and growth of Distance Education, advancing the professional development of faculty and staff through the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), and managing strategic Kâ€"12 partnerships, including dual and concurrent enrollment and the Career and Education Consortium (CEC). The Dean also serves as a member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team.

KSA’s/Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree required in Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, or a related academic discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive leadership in an educational environment. Higher education teaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Deep familiarity with distance learning and related technologies. Ability to interpret, implement, and support continued compliance with applicable federal, state, system, and college policies, regulations, and legislation. Exceptional communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the community college mission.
Successful completion and passing of a background check is required.Â
Additional Considerations:
- Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, or a related academic discipline.
- Progressive leadership in higher education within distance education or academic affairs.
- Experience teaching in a community college or multi-campus higher education environment.
