INSTRUCTOR OF BUSINESS
Jefferson Community College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor of Business within the STEM, Health Professions, and Business Division. This position offers an exciting opportunity to teach courses offered by the Business department, including College Foundations, Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship, Principles of Management, Marketing, and Sports Management, beginning fall 2026.
The role encompasses curriculum design, classroom instruction, program assessment, and academic advising. Each faculty member is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to student success, academic excellence, and community engagement, while actively contributing to the College's Strategic Plan and collaborating with colleagues and institutional leadership. The successful candidate will support and promote academic programs that prepare students for successful careers or seamless transfer to four-year institutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester and maintain 7 office hours each week to assist and mentor students.
- Prepare and deliver engaging instruction across multiple modalities, including in person and online formats.
- Utilize the Brightspace learning management system for course
- Assess student learning outcomes at course and program levels and use data to drive continuous improvement aligned with institutional goals and general education
- Guide students through academic planning, career readiness, and inclusive, student centered learning experiences.
- Participate in professional
- Engage in community and college service.
- Interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Required:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field
- Teaching experience
