Associate Director of Workforce Innovation for Enrollment & Student Success (Grant Funded)

This position reports directly to the Director of Workforce Innovation and Industry Partnerships, working closely with the Dean for Career and Workforce Innovation. The Associate Director is primarily responsible for overseeing the enrollment and student success activities of Workforce Innovation. In this capacity, the Associate Director drafts scheduling recommendations for upcoming semesters, provides recommendations of new programs and courses, establishes metrics and tracks outcomes for student success and achievement, and supervises the enrollment and student success specialists. The role also oversees the hiring and payment processes of workforce instructors and the administrative process of new program development. This position maintains records of the incoming revenue and provides updates regarding net profits. Although the Associate Director of Workforce Innovation supervises the daily operations and management, the role also contributes and collaborates closely regarding the vision and strategic planning of the department. The position will also work closely with the Director to develop and enhance partnerships with community stakeholders, non-profits, community-based organizations, and employers.

  • Experience with employer and/or external stakeholder engagement required.
  • Experience with career planning and the ability to work with a diverse student body required.
  • Community College experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with school-to-business partnerships.
  • Experience with effective communication to institutional and community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with assessment and evaluation.
  • Experience with enrollment management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with workforce development.

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse students and non-traditional students.
  • Understanding of onboarding, enrollment, and holistic student success processes in higher education.
  • Interpersonal skills needed to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, supervisees, staff, faculty, external partners, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter, with innovative and creative ideas to enhance and expand offerings.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • A team player with the ability to work with a variety of collaborators.
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least five years of experience working in higher education or a master's degree with three years of experience working in higher education.
