Program Coordinator, Nursing for Workforce Solutions ($3,000 Sign-On Bonus)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the non-credit, open enrollment Nurse Aide program and new nursing pathway program initiatives. This position is responsible for establishing, developing, and managing the day-to-day program and for ensuring the program complies with the Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON) accreditation standards. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Professional Development Workforce Solutions, the Coordinator plays a key role in conducting business needs assessments, identifying training opportunities, and submitting course proposals for approval by Workforce Solutions.

- Academic Standards and Assessment
- Instructional Personnel, Supervision, and Development
- Workforce Support
- Operational Oversight
- Budget Development and Oversight
- Community Relationships, Clinical Site Management, and Partnerships
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
This is a restricted funded position. TCC is offering a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus for a new hire which is paid out over the course of the first year of employment.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in a related field, preferably nursing, from a regionally accredited college or university is required.
- Hold a current, unrestricted Virginia RN license or multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
- Have two years of experience as a registered nurse and at least one year of direct client care or supervisory experience in the provision of long-term care services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community college curricula, instructional practices, and learning outcomes in programs assigned to the nursing healthcare sector.
- Ability to develop courses, coordinate scheduling, supervise staff, and manage budgets.
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures; ability to resolve issues, resulting in mutual respect and tolerance for varying points of view.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize administrative and instructional applications of information technology.
- Familiarity with accreditation, certification, and licensure requirement
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Teaching experience at the college level and supervisory experience
