Associate Director of Administrative Applications - Technology Services

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this Associate Director of Administrative Applications leads a team of IT professionals that create and maintain solutions at an intersection of people, business process, and technology. This position oversees the assessment, planning, implementation, and management of projects related to internal data management, analytics and process automation. The Associate Director also works closely with the ILR IT Director to provide strategic guidance to senior management around prioritization, planning, implementation, and effective use of highly complex and interconnected solutions, technologies, and projects spanning many departments and affecting the entire school. The role will have active business analysis and technical functions as well, as detailed below.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates who value and will take ownership of the following and not limited to:
- Leadership of the Administrative Applications Team: providing supervision, strategic planning, and technical and operational guidance to staff. - Using an in-depth knowledge of ILR business process, the position engages widely across ILR with stakeholders at all levels to proactively discuss, promote, and propose administrative solutions and find synergies for collaboration on solution development and licensing while balancing best practices in development, security, privacy, risk, and resources. Negotiate collaborative, innovative, best-practice solutions with peer groups such as ILR web teams, other administrative and academic units, and CIT.
What we need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years managing administrative application development teams with a proven track record of leading and coaching technical staff
- Minimum of 5 years of applicable and progressively more sophisticated technical experience
