Blumberg Center Project Director

Indiana State University is looking for candidates to fill a leadership position within the Bayh College of Education's Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the currently titled Promoting Achievement for Students with Sensory Loss (PASS) program. The purpose of the PASS program is to provide statewide support, technical assistance and professional development opportunities for educators that will improve instructional quality, promote academic achievement, and foster successful post-secondary transition outcomes for students with sensory loss. In addition, the PASS project director would oversee two special education licensure programs: Blind/Low Vision and Deaf/Hard of Hearing.

Applicants should possess an extensive knowledge base of the education of students with sensory loss and have significant experience providing educational services to students with sensory loss.

The PASS project is funded by a grant provided by the Indiana Department of Education. The director would also be responsible for meeting grant guidelines, completing necessary reports, and collecting project data to support subsequent grant applications to provide longevity to the program.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a master's degree in education or a related field and 3-4 years of experience. Candidates must have experience in K-12 public schools.
