Full-Time Faculty Appointment with Benefits
The Business of Art and Design Department at Ringling College is seeking a full-time faculty of business to teach courses such as Creative Project Management, Negotiation and Client Relationship Management, Marketing, and other business-related courses for students across academic programs at Ringling College.
The Business of Art and Design major at Ringling College integrates the disciplines of design, strategy, and business management. The curriculum emphasizes entrepreneurial thinking, design research, creative project management, brand strategy and design, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Courses are designed to be practical and experiential, equipping students for success through real-world, client-driven projects that put theory into practice. Program alumni find success across industries as producers, production coordinators, strategists, creative directors, and marketing managers at top companies including Dreamworks, Pixar, Netflix Animation, Blue Mammoth Games, Deloitte Digital, Game Developers Conference, and more. The Business of Art and Design Department also offers a minor that provides students of all disciplines with an introduction to creative business management and entrepreneurship.
This is a full-time appointment with benefits. The salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The anticipated start date is August 2025. The teaching responsibility is three courses or nine credits per semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in business, entrepreneurship, marketing, design, or a related field from a US or internationally accredited institution.
- A record of significant and recent professional experience in the field of expertise.
- A background or strong interest in creative industries (media, entertainment, and the arts).
- Knowledge of production workflow processes for various types of media in order to accurately scope projects and assess resource requirements.
- Proficient in the use of computers, digital technology, and Google Workspace.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-disciplinary faculty, students, and administrators in an educational environment.
