Human Resource Generalist

Position Classification: 12-month, Full-Time Administrator

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist who will report to the Vice President for Administration and Director of Human Resources. The Human Resource Generalist will provide professional support to the daily operations of the Human Resource Office with an emphasis on recruitment, onboarding, search process coordination, compliance training and other related duties that will enhance the functions of the department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field with at least three years of progressive human resources experience. HR Certification a plus.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of human resource practices, employment law and regulations, including civil service law in a unionized environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and people management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing priorities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, tech-savvy with other HR software, MS Office Suite, and/or related software.


Salary and Benefits Information

Annual 12-month salary range $58-62K will be commensurate with experience.
