This position will work with a small advocate and prevention team with varying responsibilities to ensure equitable access to advocacy services for all students at PCC. To achieve this, the Bilingual Confidential Advocate will work closely with both PCC and community partners to provide supportive services and resources that are trauma informed and culturally responsive to students harmed by violence. Additionally, in collaboration with team members, this position will develop and facilitate outreach and training events to PCC students and partners on a variety of topics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides confidential advocacy services to students experiencing dating/relationship violence, sexual assault, and stalking including: safety planning, crisis intervention, emotional support, information and referral to college and community resources, and advocacy throughout internal (Title IX) and external (criminal) complaint and remedy procedures that are rooted in trauma informed and survivor centered philosophies.
  • Provides Spanish language confidential and culturally specific advocacy as outlined above as appropriate.
  • With the Hope team, coordinate training and support needs for collegewide peer education student leaders related to their work on topics of dating/relationship violence, sexual violence, and stalking that is rooted in social justice.
  • Assists with development and facilitation of marketing and outreach campaigns - website updates, informational handouts, posters, events, tabling, etc. - with particular emphasis on culturally and linguistically relevant information designed to improve outreach and services for underserved and marginalized populations.
  • Collecting and entering data in support of project evaluation and grant reporting requirements.
  • Participates in relevant college committees/work groups related to policies, procedures and protocols that impact survivors, such as Title IX, care and conduct interventions, public safety response, etc.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with community partners and relevant agencies to provide culturally responsive, comprehensive information, appropriate referral, and seamless support for survivors.
  • Assists with coordinating and providing training for multiple college stakeholders to improve trauma-informed and positive response/advocacy for survivors.
  • This position will have an office on the Cascade office though will travel to all campuses based on student need. Travel between campuses are eligible for mileage reimbursement.
  • Supports Program Director to fulfill programmatic activities and objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
